Smokehouse Beef Patties

Ingredients

  • 5 frozen cheese-flavored Texas-style toast slices
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup cooked bacon crumbles
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/3 cup Jack Daniel’s® Barbecue Sauce, Honey Smokehouse™
  • 1 jar (12 oz.) Heinz® HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy

Directions

  • Prepare Texas-style toast slices according to package instructions. In a large bowl, mix together beef, bacon, onion and barbecue sauce. Form into 5 oval patties.
  • In a large skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray over medium heat, cook patties for 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

  • Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, cook gravy for 3 to 5 minutes, or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

  • To serve, place 1 patty on each toast slice. Spoon warm gravy on top and serve immediately. Garnish with sliced green onion if desired.

Tips

  •  

    If desired, substitute Heinz® HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy with Heinz® HomeStyle Fat Free Savory Beef Gravy.
  • If desired, serve with sautéed onion and pepper slices.
