Sausage and Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 potato bread slices, halved
  • 1 package (9.6) fully cooked turkey sausage links
  • 2 cup frozen classic mixed vegetable blend, thawed
  • 2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • 8 eggs, beaten
  • 1 jar (12 oz.) Heinz® HomeStyle Roasted Turkey Gravy

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 13x9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Arrange bread slices in a single layer in the bottom of baking dish. Layer sausage, vegetables and 1-1/2 cups of cheese on top. Pour beaten eggs evenly into baking dish and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese.

  • Bake uncovered for about 25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees or until eggs are set.

  • Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, cook gravy for 3 to 5 minutes, or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Serve warm with casserole.

Tips

  • If desired, substitute chopped fully cooked turkey sausage links with cooked bacon crumbles.
