Ingredients

  • 1 jar (12 oz.) Heinz® HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy
  • 1 pouch Wyler's Mrs.Grass® Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 teaspoon Wyler’s® Beef Flavored Granules
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoon sweet or hot pepper, minced
  • 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) petite diced tomato
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Directions

  • Mix 1/4 cup gravy, onion soup mix, granules, beef, pepper, and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Shape mixture into 30 one-inch size balls. In a medium saucepan, heat remaining gravy, tomato, and sugar over medium heat. Cook 5 minutes and reduce heat to simmer, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, brown meatballs over medium-high heat in a large skillet sprayed with nonstick spray for 7 to 8 minutes, until no longer pink in the center, turning occasionally. Transfer to saucepan and stir gently to coat.

Tips

  • If baking method is preferred, preheat oven to 400°F. Place formed meatballs on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until no longer pink in the center. Transfer to saucepan and stir gently to coat.
